On Tuesday, June 7, Krispy Kreme, a global retailer of premium-quality sweet treats, including its signature original glazed doughnut, will open its Owensboro, Kentucky location at 6 a.m.
The grand opening, like most Krispy Kreme openings, will be met with excitement and fanfare. The first 100 customers in line receive free doughnuts: first person receives a dozen doughnuts a week for a year and the next 99 people each receive a dozen doughnuts a month for a year.
Commercial Site Design was tasked with developing a 30,140-square-foot lot on the corner of Frederica Street and Southtown Boulevard into a location for Krispy Kreme that met city and company requirements.
Commercial Site Design provided civil plans, site plans, utility plans, stormwater management plans, and city permitting.
Commercial Site Design has worked on more than 200 Krispy Kreme sites, with Owensboro being its first project in Kentucky.
