Jon Kuczynski Retires After 16 Years

Raleigh, N.C., September 17, 2018 – Following a distinguished career in the commercial development industry, Commercial Site Design announced today that one of its founding partners Jon Kuczynski will retire September 30th, 2018.  Jon will step down as the firm’s business development director and transition the role to Brian Soltz.

“It’s going to be hard to replace what Jon brought to the company, says Brian Soltz, one of the firm’s founding partners.  “He is well-respected among his peers and a creative, intelligent leader who has a talent for spotting trend in the industry.  Jon used these skills to help make our vision a reality.”

In 2002, Jon partnered with Brian Soltz and Brian Burchett to establish a civil engineering firm that focuses on commercial developments and its clients’ long-term development goals.

During Jon’s tenure with Commercial Site Design, he served as landscape architect, director of marketing, and director of business development.

“While it’s hard to gauge Jon’s impact on the firm, his leadership will be felt well after his retirement,” says Brian Burchett, one of the founding partners at Commercial Site Design.  “Without his vision and drive, we wouldn’t be the firm we are today.  We are one of the most trusted firms in the Southeast because of countless hours he spent networking, attending conferences and building relationships.”

His effort to cultivate relationships and promote Commercial Site Design has led to national and regional brands selecting Commercial Site Design as their engineer of record on restaurants and retail rollout programs.

“Deciding to leave wasn’t an easy choice,” says Jon Kuczynski.  “I dedicated most of my professional career to building this company, but the timing was right.  I leave knowing the firm is in good hands and the future is bright.  “In the end, it was an honor to lead so many great employees and see our clients grow.”

Jon will head west to the Arizona desert as he embarks on his next adventure.
